Patiala: An employee working as a clerk at Rajindra Hospital in Patiala tested Covid-19 positive. All persons who come in contact with this person have been quarantined.
As per the information, there are seven staff members including the Medical Superintendent and Deputy Medical Superintendent who have come in contact, whose samples have been taken and had been quarantined.
CoronavirusAccording to the information, the account’s office where the employee worked as a clerk has been closed for 24 hours by the health department.
The man came in contact with 11 people, including the nurses, who had reported positive for Covid-19. After that the corona test was taken of the man which was found out to be positive.
It is said that apart from the clerk staff members, he has also come in contact with 48 other persons, whose contact is also being traced.
CoronavirusConfirming this, Civil Surgeon Dr. Harish Malhotra said that some staff members also showed symptoms of corona. They have been admitted to the isolation ward at the government hospital.
He said that this was a serious matter and therefore every effort was being made by the health department to search for the infected persons and take samples to prevent the spread of the virus.
