Raid on AAP MLA Raman Arora Latest News Today: In a bold and unprecedented move, the Punjab government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, launched a significant crackdown on corruption, this time targeting one of its own. Jalandhar (Central) Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Raman Arora was raided on charges of corruption, sending a strong message that the Mann government is willing to take action even within its ranks.

According to officials, MLA Arora has been accused of orchestrating a corrupt scheme involving the Jalandhar Municipal Corporation. He allegedly used municipal officials to issue fake notices to innocent citizens under various pretexts. Once the notices caused distress, Arora would reportedly intervene and have them withdrawn in exchange for bribes.

Sources say that the operation was part of a wider anti-corruption drive launched by CM Bhagwant Mann, who has promised to root out graft from all levels of governance.

This move is being seen as the biggest internal action against corruption in the state since the AAP came to power. CM Mann has often spoken of his zero-tolerance stance against corruption and reiterated in multiple public addresses that his government will not shield anyone indulging in wrongdoing, regardless of political affiliation.
