Punjab Weather Update: In an unusual winter twist, Punjab experienced a significant drop in temperatures as the mercury plummeted below three degrees Celsius on Thursday, marking the coldest day this winter season. Ludhiana recorded a bone-chilling minimum temperature of 2.8 degrees Celsius, a stark 3.7 degrees below the normal average. Similarly, Patiala and Bathinda experienced temperatures of 4.8 and 4.6 degrees Celsius, respectively, with readings below the seasonal norms.

The Meteorological Department has issued a forecast predicting an escalation in the cold wave across Punjab in the forthcoming days. Additionally, residents are cautioned about dense fog affecting visibility in most Punjab districts over a three-day period starting Friday, with projections of visibility dropping below 50 meters in the most affected areas.
