At a review meeting with the Education Department held in Chandigarh, Mann promised that the appointment letters will be dispatched promptly, bringing respite to candidate teachers.
Mentioning the honour of his government, Chief Minister Mann asserted with pride that his administration has sanctioned 50,892 jobs during the last 35 months, a record for the state in its history. Of these, more than 11,000 jobs have been sanctioned in the education sector alone, signifying the government's pledge to give special priority to education.
Chief Minister Mann reiterated that all job opportunities have been given strictly on merit, and no corruption or nepotism has been practiced in the process.
