An incident of crime took place when a 22-year-old girl was gang raped in the city beautiful Chandigarh. The incident took place around 9 P.M yesterday.
According to the sources, the incident
took place in Sector 53 forest area opposite to Sector 42 petrol pump.
The incident come to fore when the victim who was found sitting near the
spot narrated the whole incident to two passerby’s who later informed
the police.
According to the information,
the victim was raped by three persons in an auto and was later dumped near Sector 53 area.
On the report of the passerby,
SHO of Sector 36 police station reached the spot with other police officials and initiated with an investigation.
SHO said that a rape case has been registered and they are doing the further investigation regarding this matter. The victim was living in a PG at Mohali and was going back in an auto to her place from Sector 37 when the incident took place.
Meanwhile, the victim has been taken to the nearby hospital for the medical examination.
