Dismissal of bail application of Mantar Singh Brar brings out in open SAD role in Kotkapura firing

Chandigarh, March 20: The Senior leader of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) and Cabinet Minister, Punjab, S. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa today said that the dismissal of bail application of Ex-MLA of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) Mantar Singh Brar by Faridkot court has brought the role of the previous regime out in the open regarding the firing on peaceful protestors at Kotkapura and Behbal Kalan who were staging a protest against the sacrilege of Sri Guru Granth Sahib in 2015.

Lashing out at the SAD leadership, S. Randhawa further said that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the incidents of police firing at Kotkapura and Behbal Kalan is braving the threatening posture of the akalis as is evident from the statement of the SIT Chief Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh.

Attacking SAD leadership further, S. Randhawa said that what could be more morally shameful for the akalis than to be unable to catch the culprits behind the sacrilege and then ordering firing on people protesting in a peaceful manner. He also said that with what face are the akalis now seeking votes from the masses after having indulged in such a heinous crime. He also added that people have seen through the real game of the akalis and the day is not far off when the SAD would be consigned to the oblivion.
