2 persons including a juvenile arrested

A day after 32-year-old Arun Pal, a resident of Saketri village, was found murdered at Mansa Devi Complex (MDC), the police today arrested two persons, including a juvenile, for the crime. 

The body of Arun Pal, who was working as a sweeper in Infosys at IT Park, Chandigarh, was found in bushes on the Saketri-Kishangarh road near Sector 2, MDC. The police today arrested Hardeep Singh, alias Monu, and a juvenile, both residents of Saketri village for killing their ‘friend’.

According to the police, all three were having drinks together when Arun Pal made some objectionable comment on Hardeep Singh’s sister. Infuriated, Hardeep stabbed Arun Pal 10-12 times. The juvenile helped Hardeep in the crime.

Hardeep Singh was produced before a local court today, which sent him to three-day police remand. The other accused has been sent to the Juvenile Home.
