There is a yellow alert for rain in Himachal for the next two days as well.

Punjab Weather Update latest news today: Almost half of the monsoon season has passed and Punjab has recorded about 35 percent less rain than normal so far. In the meanwhile, an alert for heavy rain has been issued in the state for the next few days. 

At the same time, it has rained in some districts of Punjab on Monday with Ludhiana city receiving heavy rain in the morning, which has given some relief from the heat and humidity. Due to the waterlogging on the roads, the motorists suffered a lot.

According to the weather department, there will be a change in weather in Punjab including Chandigarh from tonight. Heavy to heavy rain is expected in most parts of the state from Tuesday. The weather department has issued a yellow alert for the next two to three days.

Yellow alert in Himachal Pradesh As Well 

According to the Meteorological Center Shimla, light to moderate rains occurred in many areas of Himachal in the last 24 hours. At the same time, there is a yellow alert for rain in Himachal for the next two days. 

It is worth noting that several roads were damaged due to the cloudburst incidents in Himachal Pradesh in the past few days. About 135 routes were affected and people were trapped in many places.
