ECI directs to conduct two day Voter Verification and Information Programme on March 2 and 3

Chandigarh, February 19: In compliance with the directions of the Election Commission of India, the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab has directed all the Deputy Commissioners-cum -District Election Officers and all the Election Tehsildars to organise two day special camps for Voter Verification and Information Programme (VVIP) at all polling stations of the state on March 2 and 3, 2019.

Disclosing this here today, an official spokesperson of the Office of Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab said that in view of impending general election to Lok Sabha-2019, the Election Commission of India has directed to organise two day special camps at all polling stations for Voter Verification and Information Programme (VVIP) so that further opportunity provided to all left out electors to get their names registered in the electoral rolls.

He further said that these special camps will be held on Saturday and Sunday i.e. March 2nd and 3rd, 2019, at all polling stations. Necessary instruction has been issued to the concerned authorities, he added.
