Counter Intelligence Bathinda averts major terror threat; two arrested, two hand grenades recovered

An FIR has been registered at the Special Operations Cell (SSOC) police station

Counter Intelligence, Bathinda, in a major breakthrough, has averted a significant terror threat by apprehending two accused and recovering two hand grenades from their possession.

As per preliminary investigation, the recovered grenades are reportedly part of an illegal supply chain linked to cross-border elements, intended to disrupt peace and public safety in Punjab.

An FIR has been registered at the Special Operations Cell (SSOC) police station. Police said that further investigation is underway to establish forward and backward linkages and to identify other associates.

Punjab Police stated that it remains committed to neutralising terror threats, eliminating organised crime, and ensuring peace and public safety across the state.
