Amritpal Singh's Fourth Associate Transferred to Punjab Police latest news: Amritpal Singh's fourth aide has been transferred to the Punjab Police from Dibrugarh Central Jail. Another aide, Daljit Singh Kalsi, was also handed over to Punjab Police custody today, which clears the way for the return of all four aides to Punjab.
Earlier, Basant Singh, Gurmeet Singh, and Bhagwant Singh (alias Prime Minister Bajeke) were taken over to Punjab Police. Yesterday, Punjab Police secured transit remand for Gurmeet Singh and Bhagwant Singh. On Thursday, remand petitions for Basant Singh and Daljit Singh Kalsi will be filed in Dibrugarh CJM Court.
They were arrested by Punjab Police regarding a case filed at Ajnala Police Station in the year 2023. The transit remand was endorsed by the court yesterday against Gurmeet Singh and Bhagwant Singh, directing them to be produced before the concerned Punjab court on March 22, 2025.
Three more detainees will be let out tomorrow, as per reports. As soon as all seven detainees are let out, the Punjab Police task force will make all the legal formalities and return them to Punjab within a day or two.
