Punjab Weather Update Today: Heavy Rainfall Likely Over Several Areas

Punjab witnessed heavy rainfall in the state on July 16 as well.

Punjab Weather, IMD Forecast Update Latest News Today: The day after Punjab witnessed a heavy spell of rain in the state, heavy rainfall loomed large in some of the areas on July 17 as well. 

As per the weather forecast issued at 7:18 am on July 17, IMD stated, "Thunderstorm and lightning with moderate rain very likely over parts of Patiala, Rajpura, Dera Bassi, Fatehgarh Sahib, and Mohali."

Likewise, "Light rain is very likely over parts of Samana, Patiala, Nabha, Rajpura, Dera Bassi, Fatehgarh Sahib, Mohali, Bassi 
Pathana, Chandigarh, and Kharar." 

Later, IMD also issued a forecast at 9:02 am, and said, " ThunderstormLightning with Moderate Rain very likely over parts of Samana, Patiala, Rajpura, and Dera Bassi." 

The IMD further stated, "Light Thunderstorm(wind speed 30-40 kmph) with Lightning very likely over parts of Lehra, Sunam, Sangrur, Moonak, Patran, Samana, Patiala, Nabha, Rajpura, Dera Bassi, Fatehgarh Sahib, Amloh, Mohali, Bassi Pathana, Chandigarh, and Kharar.
