Harjinder Singh Dhami Resignation from SGPC President Latest News Today: In a breaking development, the SGPC president Harjinder Singh Dhami has tendered his resignation from his designation on Monday.

Harjinder Singh Dhami has informed that he has submitted his resignation to the interim committee. 

The resignation came after a post by Sri Akal Takht Sahib Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh, for whom Dhami extended his support. 

He also raised his voice for the way illegal immigrants, especially Punjabis have been sent from the US is condemnable. Several Sikhs had no turban on their head while they landed in Amritsar. 

Bibi Jagir Kaur expressed that Harjinder Singh Dhami should have maintained the dignity of his prestigious position by taking action. She believed he should have involved the entire executive committee in thorough discussions before making any decisions, rather than making mistakes and regretting them later.

Even now, the mistakes could have been rectified through dialogue with the committee. Resigning after a mistake doesn't help; it only weakens the position. The members elected him as president, and he had the chance to resolve the issue. Now, his resignation under pressure will only lead to more problems.

Dhami should have taken a bold step instead of resigning. Even if the resignation happened, it could still be corrected by meeting with the committee. There were flaws in the investigation by the three-member committee, and these should be addressed. Ultimately, the outcome would put in order with what Sukhbir Singh Badal  had think of
