The incident left eight children, the driver, and a female conductor seriously injured.
Steering Malfunction Led to the Crash
According to initial reports, the steering system of the bus developed a fault, causing the driver to lose control. The vehicle veered off course and fell straight into the canal. The narrow road alongside the canal may have also contributed to the accident.
Rescue Efforts by Locals and Authorities
As soon as the bus hit the water, panic-stricken children began screaming for help. Nearby villagers rushed to the spot and alerted authorities. The Kyodak Chowki Police and a Dial 112 emergency response team reached the location swiftly.
