Punjab School Summer Vacation Holiday 2024 Date: In view of the rising temperatures, the Punjab Government on Thursday announced the summer holiday for schools in the state. 

As per the order issued by the Punjab Government, the summer vacations in all schools will be from June 1, 2024, to June 30, 2024. 

In the meanwhile, Punjab has been witnessing a major heatwave in recent days, with the India Meteorological Department issuing an alert for the next few days. 

The IMD has also issued several suggestions for the people regarding the severe heatwave conditions prevailing over the state. 

These suggestions include:

• Avoid prolonged exposure to the sun, especially during peak hours.
• Keep Hydrated
• Wear lightweight, light coloured loose cotton clothes
• Cover Your head using cloth, hat, umbrella etc
• To avoid heat stress in the crops apply irrigation in the evening or early morning hours.
• Heat exposure of Vulnerable people e.g. infants, elderly, people with chronic diseases should be limited
