Estimated cost of Rs 12 crore 25 lakh for Community Centers: Dr. Baljit Kaur
CHANDIGARH: The Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is going to built community centers in 49 villages of the state under the Dr Ambedkar Utsav Dham Project. Giving this information, Minister of Social Justice, Empowerment and Minority Dr. Baljit Kaur said that the community centers will establish under the Dr Ambedkar Utsav Dham Project which is a part of Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana.
She said that approximately Rs 25 lakhs will be spent on the establishment of a community center, while a total of Rs 12 crore 25 lakhs will be spent. She said that these centers will be set up in villages with 50 percent scheduled caste population.
Dr. Baljit Kaur said that Burj Sidhwan, Ghumiara Khera, Jhorran, Khane ki Dhab, Rakhri, Chak Dhuhe Wala, Chak Gandha Singhwala village, Lakhewali, Mehna, Sikh Wala, Machaki Mall Singh, village of Faridkot district of Punjab- Devi Wala, Nathuwala, Dhab Sher Singh Wala, Village Chakerian of Mansa District, Saharna, Faridke, Malkon, Sherkhan Wala, Kasimpur Chhina, Hasanpur, Riud Kalan, Malakpur Bhimra, Lakhiwal, Uddat Saidewala, Narendrapura, Mahalon Village of District Nawanshahr, District Villages of Bathoi Khurd, Ramnagar Bakshiwala, Chunagra, Taren of Patiala District, Qila Hakima Village of Sangrur District, Villages of Ajner, Jalla, Amloh, Amloh (Khanna), Kotla Bajwara, Turan, Jallowal, Kotla Ajner, Kumbhra, Manela, Nabipur of Fatehgarh Sahib District. Noorpura, Raipur Ran, Ranwan, Saidpura, Shaheedgarh and Ladpur (Amloh) have been selected for community centres.
The cabinet minister further said that with the construction of these community centers, the people of the villages will get urban facilities. They also will get the facility to hold private and public events without any cost. She added that the construction of these community centers is being done very fast by the department and these centers will be constructed and dedicated to the people in specified time.
