Amritpal Singh Mehro, Suspected Mastermind in Influencer Kamal Kaur Bhabhi’s Murder, Fled to UAE: Bathinda SSP
Amritpal Singh Mehro, the suspected mastermind behind the murder of social media influencer Kamal Kaur Bhabhi, fled to the UAE shortly after the crime, taking a flight from Amritsar airport, Bathinda SSP Amneet Kondal said on Sunday.
“When we obtained Amritpal's passport details and checked his travel records, we found that he had fled to the UAE after killing Kamal Kaur. We are now following the procedure for his deportation and have informed the authorities there that he is wanted in a murder case here,” SSP Kondal stated.
Police further revealed that two more of Amritpal’s associates identified as Ranjit Singh of Sohal village in Tarn Taran district and an unidentified person have been named in the FIR.
“They helped Amritpal flee in a car after committing the crime. Efforts are underway to arrest them as well. We obtained this information during the questioning of Amritpal’s two associates, Nimaratjeet Singh and Jaspreet Singh, whose two-day police remand ends today. We will seek an extension of their custody for further interrogation,” the SSP added.

During sustained interrogation, the two arrested men confessed that Amritpal Mehro had planned the act and spoken to them in advance. Two more individuals are believed to be involved in the incident, and investigations into their roles are underway.
The decomposed body of the victim was found in the back seat of a car parked outside Adesh University in Bhucho Kalan, along the Bathinda-Chandigarh highway, on Friday night.
According to reports, Amritpal Mehro and his associates have previously been involved in moral policing. He operates two Instagram accounts and posted a video after the murder. In the video, he claimed the victim was killed for allegedly making objectionable videos and issued a threat to another content creator.a
