Jalandhar: In the fifth phase of the lockdown imposed due to the corona virus in the country, people are being given a lot of relief, due to which the number of cases is also increasing.

Sixty to Eighty new cases are being registered every day for the last eight days. So far 3,242 people in the state have tested positive for corona in which 73 of them have died.

CoronavirusSimilarly, eight new people tested positive for coronavirus in Jalandhar district on Monday morning. Earlier on Sunday, 18 people tested positive for corona. It also includes a woman who died on Thursday who was also a heart patient.

Apart from this, two policemen from Hoshiarpur, one from Amritsar and one from Jalandhar have also tested positive and the remaining 13 belong to Jalandhar district. The total number of infected people rose to 342 in which 12 people have died.
