Sangrur's Hitesh Bhardwaj filed a defamation case against Kharge for making derogatory remarks against Bajrang Dal

SANGRUR: The District Court has issued summons to Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge in a Rs 100 crore defamation case. Sangrur's Hitesh Bhardwaj, founder of the Hindu Security Council Bajrang Dal Hind, had filed a defamation case in a local court against Kharge for making derogatory remarks against the Bajrang Dal during the recently held Karnataka elections. The court of Civil Judge (Senior Division) Ramandeep Kaur has summoned Kharge on July 10.

Hitesh claimed that Congress compared Bajrang Dal with anti-national organizations and promised to ban Bajrang Dal after coming to power in Karnataka.

Talking about this, Bhardwaj said, “When I came to know that on page number 10 of the manifesto, Congress has compared Bajrang Dal with anti-national organizations and also promised that if they win the election, If the ban will be imposed, I went to the court on Thursday and filed a case in this regard."

Taking notice of the matter, the court issued summons to Mallikarjun Kharge and ordered to appear on July 10.
