Entire area was cordoned off & a Search Operation was launched

AMRITSAR: A drone entered the Indian territory of Mulakot from the Pakistan side and returned after dropping a bag in the wheat field of Balchand village. However, Border Security Force personnel attempted to shoot down the drone. During the search operation launched by BSF, a big bag was found, from which 3.2 kg of heroin was recovered.

According to a BSF spokesperson, jawans under the Amritsar sector headquarters were patrolling the border area at 3:21 am on August 15. Meanwhile, soldiers of the Border Observing Post (BOP) Mulakot area heard the drone entering from the Pakistan side. The jawans immediately opened fire on the drone. Meanwhile, the BSF jawans heard the sound of something falling in a field of Balchand village. After which the entire area was cordoned off and a search operation was launched there.

During the search, the force personnel found a big sack lying in a wheat field in village. Three packets (3.2 kg) of heroin were recovered from it. It was attached with an iron ring and a band. Along with the police, the force personnel are conducting a continuous search operation in the entire area, so that if the drone has fallen somewhere else, it can also be recovered.
