Punjab Weather July 13: IMD Chandigarh Issues Orange and Yellow Alerts for Punjab in Its Nowcast
Punjab Weather July 13 Latest Updates: The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Chandigarh, has issued orange and yellow alerts for districts of Punjab for July 13, valid up to 5:30 pm, warning of light to moderate rain and thunderstorms.
Districts under Orange Alert (July 13): Hoshiarpur, Rupnagar, Fatehgarh Sahib, SAS Nagar, and Patiala.
Districts under Yellow Alert (July 13): Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Kapurthala, Tarn Taran, Jalandhar, Firozpur, Mansa, Moga, and Nawanshahr.
No warnings have been issued for the remaining districts in Punjab for today.
There are no alerts for any districts in Punjab for the coming week, as per its July 13 update.
Weather Observed in the Past 24 Hours (as of July 13):
Today, on July 13, a rise of 1.2°C was observed in the average minimum temperature compared to the previous day, bringing it 1.8°C above normal levels across the state.
The lowest minimum temperature of 25.4°C was recorded at Thein Dam (AWS) station. The station also recorded the highest rainfall at 25.4 mm, and Balachar AMSU (AWS) also recorded the same amount of rainfall.
July 12 Observed Daytime Temperature:
On July 12, the KVK Pathankot (AWS) weather station recorded the highest maximum temperature in the state at 35.1°C (reported at 5:30 PM on July 12).
The lowest daytime temperature was reported from Ropar weather station at 30°C.
Compared to the previous day, there was a rise of 2.9°C in the average maximum temperature on July 12, which was near normal.
