Chandigarh, February 13: When Aam Aadmi Party’s Mahal Kalan MLA Kulwant Singh Pandori took up the issue of up-gradation of Shaheed Rahmat Ali Memorial School at Wazeed K Khurd from 10th to 12th,, state education minister,. O P Soni, rejected the proposal quoting 6 km condition. Pandori said that the issue of up-gradation of the school had been hanging in the balance despite assurances from former CM Parkash Singh Badal and an MP, who was now cabinet rank minister “Nothing came out of the narrative”, Pandori said.

Upon this in a supplementary question, Jagraon MLA, Sarabjit Kaur Manuke, asked that if it was riddled with ‘conditions’, the MPs, CMs should refrain from making hollow promises, which, she said, was a tantamount to denigrating the honour of martyrs.  Replying to the supplementary, Soni assured Manuke of taking up the issue with CM.
