CHANDIGARH: Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh have started preparations for the National Legislators Conference to be held in Mumbai from June 15 to 17. In this regard, the convener of the National Legislature Conference, Rahul V. Karad held a meeting at the Haryana residence with the Speakers of the Legislative Assemblies of the three states, Kultar Singh Sandhawan, Gian Chand Gupta and Kuldeep Singh Pathania.

Haryana Legislative Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta said that this is a historic program. It includes leaders of all parties, even if the government is of different political parties, but the program will be on the constitution and integrity of the country. To participate in it, registration has to be done by May 30. So far 2 thousand MLAs have been registered. The MLAs of various parties participating from across the country will discuss the challenges faced by the country and other aspects.

Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh said that this program regarding democracy is being seen as a dream. Such a large gathering of MLAs/leaders from across the country is a big deal. There is a perception that people who come into politics are misunderstood. Youngsters don't know about it, but now it is a good opportunity for them to get information.

Himachal Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania said that conferences have been held before but this is the first time when all MLAs at the national level will come together and present their views. During the event, ideas related to strengthening the social structure and democracy will be discussed. He also described the special school started on politics as very special.
