SIT Summons SAD Leader Bikram Majithia on March 17 in Drug Case latest news:  A Punjab Police Special Investigation Team (SIT), investigating a drug case against Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia, has summoned him to appear on March 17 in Patiala.

The fresh summons follows a directive from the Supreme Court bench led by Justice JK Maheshwari instructing the senior SAD leader and former Punjab minister to appear before the SIT in Patiala at 11 AM on March 17.

According to sources, the SIT has issued the summons under Section 160 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC).
Majithia was booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act on December 20, 2021. He has been summoned multiple times in the past in connection with the case.

Majithia has consistently claimed that the allegations against him are baseless and politically motivated.
