The Government agencies and private Traders have procured 259046 metric tonnes of wheat in Punjab

Chandigarh :The Government agencies and private Traders have procured 259046 metric tonnes of wheat in Punjab on 25th day of procurement.Disclosing this here today, an official Spokesperson said  that out of the total 259046 procurement from various procurement centres in the State, the Government agencies procured  258272 MT of wheat 774 MT has been procured by the private traders (arhtyias).

Wheat ProcurementWheat ProcurementHe further  said that PUNGRAIN has procured 57161 metric tonnes, MARKFED 63532 metric tonnes and PUNSUP procured  60192 metric tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation 34582 MT wheat respectively. The Centre government agancy FCI has procured 25463 MT wheat. Apart from this Pungrain Procured 17342 MT wheat for public distribution in the Punjab.

Markfed PunjabMarkfed PunjabProgressive procurement by all the procuring agency is 113,74,824 MT.He further said today 414818 LMT wheat lifted from the Mandies and payment of rupees 14447.53 cr.has been made for the procurement of wheat.
