Giani Kuldeep Singh Garhgaj also expressed concern over the hostile atmosphere faced by the Sikh community in the state, noting that Sikhs are being forced to leave their homeland while non-Sikhs and non-Punjabis are being encouraged to settle in the region. He criticized political parties for prioritizing votes over addressing these issues, asserting that the Sikh community continues to be neglected.

He further highlighted that even after 40 years, the Sikh community is still awaiting justice for the 1984 Sikh genocide, underlining the persistent struggle for recognition and justice.

The Jathedar's remarks reflected his commitment to upholding the authority of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and advocating for the rights and dignity of the Sikh community.
