Husband denied Accusations, Says - 'Wife was mentally ill and was undergoing treatment'
AMRITSAR (Jandiala Guru): A Married Woman named Navjot Kaur committed suicide at Jandiala Guru in Amritsar. As per the media reports, the mother of a 1.5-year-old child hanged herself with a fan to death at her parental home in Jandiala Guru. The Husband of the woman has been accused of harassment.
The mother of the deceased girl alleged that her daughter had been married for three years and her husband Harpreet Singh, a resident of village Taragarh in Amritsar, used to harass her daughter a lot. On the other hand, Harpreet Singh, the husband of the deceased, said that his wife Navjot Kaur was mentally ill and was undergoing treatment. Sub-inspector Raghbir Singh, in-charge of police post Jandiala Guru, said that action will be taken in the matter and the investigation is underway.
