10-yr-old girl raped in Punjab

Muktsar (Pb): A 10-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her 17-year-old neighbour at Ramnagar village here, a police officer said today.

The incident occurred on Friday when the girl was alone at her home, Muktsar SHO (Malout) Paramjit Singh said. The accused was arrested and was sent to juvenile home, Singh said. 


A case under relevant sections, including section 376 (rape) of the IPC and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO Act) 2012 was registered against the accused, he said.
