Punjab's Batala School Holiday News, Guru Nanak Dev Ji-Mata Sulakhni Wedding Anniversary: A holiday has been declared in the Batala district of Punjab to celebrate the wedding anniversary (Purab) of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and Mata Sulakhni Ji with great enthusiasm. In light of this, there will be a holiday in Batala on September 10.

Liquor and meat shops will remain closed on this day. The Deputy Commissioner of Gurdaspur stated that special arrangements will be made to ensure that people coming from outside, as well as local residents, do not face any inconvenience. Deputy Commissioner Uma Shankar Gupta held a meeting with civil and police department officials to review the preparations for the event.

Present at the meeting were SSP Batala Suhail Kasim Mir, Dr. Shairi Bhandari (SDM-cum-Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Batala), Jaswant Kaur (SP(H) Batala), Jagtar Singh (Tehsildar), and officials from various departments. A discussion was also held with the committee members of Gurdwara Sahib to ensure the successful execution of the wedding ceremony.
