Ferozepur Tattoo Shop Shootout Case Latest News Today: In a swift follow-up to the daylight shootout at a tattoo shop that shook Ferozepur on Thursday, the district police and counter-intelligence teams have arrested three more suspects during a dramatic encounter late Friday night near Ratta Khera village.
The latest accused — Gurjinder alias Ghoda, Amarjit Singh, and Sonu — were tracked down by security forces and reportedly engaged in a brief exchange of gunfire before being captured. The trio was injured in the retaliatory firing and is now under police custody.
DIG Harmanbir Gill confirmed the recovery of four firearms, along with a scooter and motorcycle believed to have been used in the crime. The crackdown is part of an ongoing investigation into the gang-related violence that erupted between two rival groups, leading to the death of Ashu Monga.
Earlier on Friday, two other individuals had already been arrested, following the lodging of two separate FIRs. Initial findings suggest Monga himself had come with the intention to target three rivals—Yuvraj, Amrik Singh, and Shivam Sehgal—but was fatally shot amid the chaos.
Police officials have stated that operations will continue until all remaining accused are apprehended. The motive behind the clash is still under scrutiny, though authorities are treating it as a case of personal enmity escalating into violence.
The shootout has triggered concern among local residents, with calls for stricter policing and monitoring of gang activities in the city.
