Capt. Govt. must take strict action against fraud travel agents-Bhagwant Mann

Chandigarh, February 7: The president of Aam Aadmi Party Punjab, and MP Bhagwant Mann on Thursday extended gratitude to union external affairs minister, Shushma Swaraj for acting upon his request to help youngsters trapped in Armenia and demanded from CM Punjab Capt. Amarinder Singh to take strict action against travel agents for indulging into illegal activities.

In a press statement issued from AAP headquarters, Bhagwant Mann said that hundreds of fake travel agents are operating in the state under the nose of administration but like the previous Badal govt. Capt. Amarinder Singh led Congress govt. is also shying away from taking action against those who are responsible for such acts.

He challenged that if the govt. is serious about the issue then around dozens of agents in Mohali alone can be arrested for illegal activities. Talking about the youngsters trapped in Armenia, Mann said that he was informed by the media about Shamsher Singh of Bholath and Jatinder Singh of Amritsar being trapped due to the negligence of treval agents.

He then contacted the external affair ministry to help the youngsters, acting upon that the Indian embassy reached outed to the youngsters. Mann told that he also asked the external affair ministry to registers  criminal cases against the said travel agents. He demanded that for the permanent solution to the problem, the Punjab govt. must launch a campaign against the fake travel agents and ensure employment for the youth of state so that they are not forced to go abroad for the purpose of livelihood.
