The Government agencies and private millers have procured 50514 metric tonnes of Paddy in Punjab till October 5. Disclosing this here today, an official spokesman of the Government of Punjab informed that out of the total procurement of 50514 MT of paddy from various procurement centres in the State, the Government agencies procured 42197 MT of paddy while 8317 MT has been procured by the millers.

Giving the details, the spokesman said that PUNGRAIN had procured 11542 tonnes, MARKFED procured 12445 tonnes and PUNSUP procured 8210 tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation and Punjab Agro Foodgrains Corporation procured 5154 and 4846 MT paddy respectively.
