CHANDIGARH: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on April 6 (Thursday) announced former MLA Sushil Kumar Rinku as its candidate for the Jalandhar Lok Sabha by-election.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann tweeted (In Punjabi) (Roughly Translated), "Aam Aadmi Party seals the candidature of Sushil Kumar Rinkuji for the Jalandhar Lok Sabha by-election.. Best wishes.."

Former Congress MLA Sushil Rinku had joined Aam Aadmi Party on April 5. The Party's national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann welcomed him to the party.
