Punjab Govt is committed to the overall development of the children: Cabinet Minister

CHANDIGARH: As per the guidelines of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Minister of Social Security, Women and Child Development Dr. Baljit Kaur has ordered the Anganwadi workers to sensitize the parents of the children by reaching door to door to admit the children above the age of three in the Anganwadi centers.

Giving more information in this regard, Dr. Baljit Kaur said that the Punjab government is committed to the overall development of the children of the state. Under this policy, efforts are being made to develop every child by meeting the basic needs of children in Anganwadi centers. She said that in addition to imparting supplementary nutritional food, basic education to the children at the Anganwadi centers, the parents of the children are made aware about vaccination, health check-up and nutritionist. She further said that in Anganwadi centers, various procedures are conducted with toys for the mental development of children.

The Cabinet Minister instructed the Anganwadi workers to work more efficiently and diligently, which would motivate the number of children in the Anganwadi centers to increase.
