Jathedar’s statement is expected to intensify pressure on party's leadership to act swiftly with the directive of the Panj Singh Sahibs.

Punjab Latest News Today: In a significant statement, Giani Raghbir Singh, the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, has reiterated his call for the Shiromani Akali Dal to accept pending resignations as per the directive issued earlier by the Panj Singh Sahibs.

Addressing the matter, the Jathedar said, “The Panj Singh Sahibs had previously issued a clear directive from Fasil, urging the Akali Dal to accept the resignations. However, the party has not taken the required action yet. I strongly reiterate that the Shiromani Akali Dal must accept these resignations at the earliest.”

The Jathedar’s renewed statement underscores the importance of adhering to the collective decisions of Sikh leadership and maintaining the sanctity of the Akal Takht's authority.

The Shiromani Akali Dal, which has faced internal challenges and criticism in recent times, has yet to respond to the Jathedar’s latest remarks. Observers believe that the party’s decision on this matter will have significant implications for its credibility and standing within the Sikh community.

The Jathedar’s statement is expected to intensify the pressure on the party leadership to act swiftly and align with the directive of the Panj Singh Sahibs.
