Fake Graphic News: A Graphic of the news of the demise of Punjab Congress leader Gursimran Singh Mand is going viral on social media. This graphic is being viral in the name of Rozana Spokesman, a media organization of Punjab.
Facebook user "Chakravarti Nihang Singh Fojan" shared the viral graphic claiming that Gursimran Singh Mand has passed away in an tragic road accident.
Spokesman in its investigation found that the viral graphic is fake and Congress leader Gursimran Singh Mand is safe.
Spokesman's Investigation
Starting the investigation, we first searched keywords on this claim, but we did not find any official news regarding the demise of Gursimran Singh Mand. It is worth noting that if such an accident had happened, the media organizations of Punjab would have definitely covered it.
Afterwards, we searched the Facebook page of Gursimran Singh Mand. We found several recently uploaded posts on Gursimran Singh Mand's page which makes it clear that the Congress leader is safe.
In the final phase of investigation, we checked the Facebook page of the Rozana Spokesman. Original post was shared on 7 September 2023, in which there was mention of the accident that took place on Airport Road in Mohali. An elderly man riding a motorcycle had died in this accident. The original post can be seen below.
Conclusion- Spokesman in its investigation found that the viral graphic is fake and Congress leader Gursimran Singh Mand is safe.
