Punjab Weather Updates Today — The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Chandigarh, has issued a yellow alert forecasting heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, squalls, and more in Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, and Rupnagar, according to its general forecast for today, Tuesday.
No alerts have been issued for the remaining twenty districts of the state in the forecast for today.
Nowcast: However, the State Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Rupnagar and SAS Nagar (Mohali), warning of light rain with rainfall of less than 5 mm in the nowcast. This nowcast is valid until 2:30 PM today.
The weather is expected to remain pleasant over the next few days, with no warnings issued until the 9th of August.

Weather Observed in the Past 24 Hours:
In the past 24 hours, there has been a -0.3°C change in the average minimum temperature, which remains near normal.
The lowest minimum temperature in the state was 24.2°C, recorded at Sri Anandpur Sahib IMDJINDWADI (AWS) in Rupnagar. This location also recorded the highest rainfall in the state at 20.0 mm.
