According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), there is a rainfall alert for some states

While disturbing visuals are coming in from several places amid incessant rainfall in some areas, the India Meteorological Department on Friday issued for several states, including Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Himachal Pradesh among the other parts of North India. 

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), there is a rainfall alert for some states while Delhi is likely to see light to moderate intermittent rainfall. Till July 8, there is a prediction of moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in North and Central India.

As per the forecast, isolated heavy rainfall is expected over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh during the first half of the week. 

Moreover, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh may also experience heavy rainfall in the upcoming week. In Jammu division, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Bihar have isolated very heavy rainfall on July 5, while Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh may see isolated heavy rainfall on July 5 and 6. In Sub Himalaya, West Bengal and Sikkim will likely see heavy rainfall from July 6.

India Meteorological Department (IMD), said Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura are anticipated to receive heavy rainfall on July 6, followed by Assam and Meghalaya on July 6 and 7, and Odisha on July 7.

After this, states like Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya, might witness severe conditions, and heavy rainfall is forecasted for July 5.
