Punjab Vidhan Sabha Pays Homage to Departed Souls, Condemns Pahalgam Terror Attack

As a mark of respect, the Vidhan Sabha observed a two-minute silence in memory of the deceased.

Punjab Vidhan Sabha Special Session: In a solemn gesture during its special session on Monday, the Punjab Vidhan Sabha paid rich tributes to several departed souls, including former Lok Sabha MP Master Bhagat Ram Ji and former Punjab Minister Sardar Randhir Singh Cheema.

The House also expressed deep sorrow and condemnation over the tragic Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 lives, most of whom were innocent tourists. The assembly extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims.

During the session, Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan led the House in paying homage. He emphasized that the Punjab Assembly stands united in its demand for justice and expects both the Centre and State Governments to pursue the perpetrators of the attack with full force. “No stone should be left unturned to ensure that those responsible for this heinous act are brought to justice,” he remarked.

The session served as a reminder of the state’s shared grief and unwavering commitment to peace, justice, and remembrance of those who served or were lost under tragic circumstances.
