PSEB halts class 12 English Exam at Ferozpur centre latest news: Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has canceled the Class 12 English exam conducted on February 28 at examination centre Ferozepur because of large-scale cheating and irregularities.
Mass copying was found during checks by flying squad teams at examination centre 220681, located in Government Senior Secondary School (Boys), Talwandi Bhai, Ferozepur. Around 115 students were written off for the exam at the centre.
In the wake of the incident, a spokesperson of the PSEB said they have stepped up measures to ensure the transparent and fair holding of ongoing Class 8 and Class 12 board examinations that commenced on February 19.
With more than 2,300 examination centres set up in Punjab, the board has appointed 278 flying squad teams at state, district, and tehsil levels to oversee the examinations and stop any cases of malpractice.
The spokesperson underscored the board's determination to preserve the sanctity of the examination process and provide a level playing field for all students.
