Punjab likely to receive rain showers today

Punjab Weather Update Today: The second month of the year has started but there is still no relief from cold day conditions. The cities of Punjab observed hailstorm on Thursday and people were seen enjoying the weather with a drop in the temperature. The tables turned after a bright sunshine appeared the next day i.e. Friday. 

However, the cold day conditions are back and rainy conditions are prevailing over the state. The India Meteorological Department on Friday issued a yellow alert in the state for Saturday and Sunday.

Punjab Weather Update Today:

According to the weather forecast, Punjab is likely to receive rain showers today while the temperature may go around 10 degree Celsius in the night. The city may also witness rainfall on Sunday with a less cold day, says the weather reports.

However, Punjab may experience bright sunny days from Monday onwards, marking the advent of February. Even, the residents of the state are waiting for the sun to show up after experiencing severe cold days.

According to information, Chandigarh recorded 9.0 degrees Celsius, while Chandigarh (Airport) recorded 10.5 degrees Celsius, Amritsar recorded 10.3, Ludhiana 9.4, Patiala 8.4, Pathankot 9.2, Bathinda 9.0, Faridkot 9.0, Gurdaspur 9.0, Ballowal (SBS Nagar) 10.1, Barnala 9.0, Faridkot (AWS) 11.0, Fatehgarh Sahib 9.2, Nurmahal, Jalandhar 9.2, Samrala 11.1, Budh Singh Wala (Moga) 7.6, Mohali 10.7 and Ropar recorded 8.7.
