Punjab Cabinet Gives Ex Post Facto Approval to Hand Over HC Civil Judge Selection Process To Registrar General

Chandigarh, March 2: The Punjab Cabinet on Saturday gave ex-post facto approval to entrusting the selection process of 75 posts of Civil Judge (Junior Division-cum-Judicial Magistrate) to the Registrar General, Punjab and Haryana High Court, after taking out them from the purview of Punjab Public Service Commission. The decision was taken here at meeting chaired by Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh.

In view of urgency of the matter, the Departments of Finance, Personnel and Punjab Public Service Commission, Patiala had already accorded their approval to hand over the recruitment process of 75 posts of Civil Judge (Junior Division-cum-Judicial Magistrate) to the Registrar General, Punjab and Haryana High Court.
