Successful Intervention by Civil and Police Administration Resolves Standoff

Punjab Transport Strike News: In a significant development, the oil tanker operators in Jalandhar have decided to call off their strike on Tuesday evening, leading to the prompt resumption of fuel supply in the district. This positive turn of events follows a series of strategic meetings between the Civil and Police administration and the striking tanker operators.

The Civil and Police officials, spearheaded by Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal, Senior Superintendent of Police Mukhwinder Singh Bhullar, and Joint Commissioner of Police Sandeep Kumar Sharma, engaged in extensive discussions with the striking operators at the Indian Oil Corporation depot in Suchi Pind.

During these meetings, the senior officials assured the tanker operators that their demands had been communicated to the top officials of the state government. They emphasized the government's commitment to addressing the concerns raised by the operators promptly. Recognizing the operators as integral participants in the supply chain, the officials reiterated that all outstanding issues would be resolved.

Highlighting the government's concern for the regulation of essential items' supply, the officials conveyed the importance of collaborative efforts with all stakeholders, including the tanker operators. Following the successful dialogue, Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal, Senior Superintendent of Police Mukhwinder Singh Bhullar, and Joint Commissioner of Police Sandeep Kumar Sharma actively collected memorandums from the striking operators.
