Director Bureau of Investigation Reconstitutes SIT in NDPS Case Against Bikram Singh Majithia latest news: The Bureau of Investigation Director has reorganized the Special Investigation Team (SIT) that is to investigate the NDPS case against senior Akali leader and ex-minister Bikram Singh Majithia. AIG Provisioning and Sarak Surakhya Force Varun Sharma has been made the new SIT head. Abhumanyu Rana, SSP Tarn Taran, and Gurbans Singh, SP NRI Patiala, have also joined as new members of the team.

This action follows as part of administrative reforms designed to ensure a concentrated and efficient investigation into the case. The reconstitution represents an important development in the ongoing efforts to meet the allegations under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
