Punjab Government Extends Anganwadi Center Holidays: In light of the ongoing cold wave, the Punjab government has announced an extension of winter vacations for children aged 3 to 6 years at all Anganwadi centers across the state. The holidays, initially set to end on December 31, will now continue until January 7, 2025.

Social Security, Women, and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur emphasized the decision was made keeping in mind the challenges young children face during the extreme cold.
