The name of Bhajan Lal Sharma was finalized nine days after the election results in Rajasthan.

In the meanwhile, Diya Kumar and Prem Chand Bairava have been appointed as the Deputy Chief Ministers. On the other hand, Vasudev Devnani would be the speaker of the Rajasthan Assembly.

Earlier, five names — Vasundhra Raje, Diya Kumari, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, and Baba Balaknath — were being considered for the post of Rajasthan CM. However, Bhajan Lal Sharma came as a surprise.

Bhajanlal Sharma is an MLA from Sanganer and after becoming an MLA for the first time, he will now be the Chief Minister of Rajasthan.
