SAD Political Crisis, Rebel Group Apology At Sri Akal Takht Sahib: In a major development, the rebel group of the Shiromani Akali Dal on Monday submitted a letter to Sri Akal Takht Sahib Jathedar, seeking an apology for various incidents that occurred during the SAD government’s tenure.
According to information, these incidents included the Dera Sacha Sauda Ram Rahim’s Salabatpura issue, the Sri Guru Granth Sahib sacrilege issue, the Behbal Kalan firing and Bargari sacrilege issues, and the appointments of DGP Sumedh Saini and Izhar Alam.
The rebel group of Shiromani Akali Dal stated they were ready to face any punishment that the Sri Akal Takht Sahib would deem appropriate.
It is pertinent to mention that the Shiromani Akali Dal party is currently divided into two, with one still supporting the party president Sukhbir Singh Badal, and the other one demanding his resignation for the sake of the party.
Recently, SAD faced a huge downfall in the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 as it only managed to bag one seat i.e. Bathinda, from where Harsimrat Kaur Badal managed to mark victory. Other than that, the SAD failed to garner victory at any other place.
