Two held for trying to smuggle bovine animals in J&K

Jammu: Two persons were today arrested for allegedly trying to smuggle over two dozen bovine animals in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.   

Mohammad Iqbal and Mohammad Ashraf were carrying 25 bovine animals in a vehicle when they were stopped by the police near Budhal, a police official said.

He said both the persons were arrested after they failed to produce the requisite documents for transporting of the animals. "They were trying to smuggle the heard and a case was registered against them," the official said. PTI
