However, following the meeting, the pain of being forcefully separated from his brother was clearly visible.
Janshakti Janta Dal (JJD) chief Tej Pratap Yadav on Sunday wished his younger brother, Tejashwi Yadav, a leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and its chief ministerial face, a bright future on his 36th birthday.
Tej Pratap was expelled from the RJD and the family in May 2025 for “disregarding ethical values in personal life.”

Father Lalu Prasad Yadav, in a post on X on May 25, had said, “Disregarding ethical values in personal life weakens our collective struggle for social justice. The activities, public conduct, and irresponsible behavior of the eldest son are not in accordance with our family values and traditions. Therefore, due to the aforementioned circumstances, I am distancing him from the party and the family. Henceforth, he will have no role of any kind in the party or the family. He is expelled from the party for 6 years.”
“He is capable of discerning the good and bad, merits and flaws of his personal life himself. Those who maintain relations with him should make decisions at their own discretion. I have always been an advocate of public propriety in public life. The obedient members of the family have embraced and followed this principle in public life. Thank you,” Lalu had added.
Recently, in a YouTube video by Samdish Bhatia covering the Bihar assembly elections 2025, in which he filmed a campaign of Tej Pratap Yadav, the two brothers coincidentally met at an airport. However, the two did not speak to each other. In the video, Tej Pratap Yadav can be seen looking at Tejashwi with a heavy heart.
Until that moment, Tej Pratap Yadav appeared happy and lively; however, following the meeting, the pain of being forcefully separated from his brother was clearly visible.
