National Green Tribunal (NGT) has given a major order regarding visit in Vaishno Devi Temple. It has said that not more than 50,000 pilgrims can visit in the Vaishno Devi Temple in a day.
In their order NGT has ordered that if pilgrims are more than 50,000 than they will be stopped in the Katra highway only. Along with this, the court has banned any new construction in the temple premises.
NGT is keeping an eye on the roads going to the Vaishno Devi temple and are seeing that the adjoining areas are being closely monitored. NGT issued notice to Shree Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and asked them to submit detailed report to the Municipal Solid Waste and Sewage Treatment Plant.
In Vaishno Devi Temple, there is a huge rush during the Navratri season. Vaishno Devi Shrine Board looks after most of the facilities in Vaishno Devi temple.
